The Weekend Drive was founded by Vince Bodiford in 1992 as “At the Wheel,” a weekly syndicated automotive newspaper feature which he wrote. In 1999, it was rebranded to be known as The Weekend Drive, and this automotive enthusiast website was launched. The Weekend Drive was among the very first automotive websites at the time, and it grew quickly to become a popular automotive review website. The feature still appears occasionally in newspapers as an automotive feature, and its largest audience is served by this website.

We derive our funding from advertising and circulation revenue, as well as events, consulting, graphic design and other services we charge customers fees for.
